Career Highlights:
2005 - 4th Australian Superbike Championship, 2nd Supersport Championship
2004 - 1st Australian Superbike Championship, 1st Supersport Championship
2003 - 4th US Formula Extreme, 4th US Superstock, Suzuka 8Hr - 4th in class

1-        What year did you start road racing?
I started racing toward the end of 1993 on a Suzuki RGV250, at Mallala, SA. It was a Cafe Racers Club Day.
2-        What was your most memorable race victory? Why?
Probably would have to be race one of the Australian Superbike Championship at Wanneroo, WA in 2004. I qualified in pole, but got the worst start imaginable and I was in about 20th on the exit of the first corner. I went nuts and was 8th at the end of the first lap, 5th on the second, third on the third lap and I was leading by lap six. I won the race by about six seconds.
3-        Other than the CBR1000, which we know you love, if I was to buy you a sportsbike today, which bike would you choose?
It would most definitely be the BMW S1000RR. I love that bike, so fast, yet very light and nimble.
4-        How many kg's over race weight are you today?
In my peak form I was about 77kg, and funnily enough, I haven't blown up that much. Most days I'm a shade under 90kg.
5-        If you were able to travel through time back to when you were 16yrs old again, what advice you would give your younger self?
Don't get married to that b*tch. She'll cost you a World Championship.
6-        Who will be MotoGP champion this year?
I think it would be hard to go past Casey Stoner. He's on top of his game, and with Simoncelli wiping everyone out, and Rossi still sucking on the Ducati, and Pedrosa being a little inconsistent, the only one left is Lorenzo. And I hate him anyway :)
7-        Other than your current job at Fergusson transport, and being a bike racer, what has been your favourite job?
I was a forklift driver at a Wool Processing factory, and I used to make tracks out of wool bales on night shifts and do laps.... sometimes I'd wet the floor and do some drifting.... It was a pisser.
8-        How often do you swing a leg over a bike at the track these days?
Not as much as I would like. Probably only two or three times a year. I still love riding as much as I always have.
9-        Would you like to be involved in a team again in a role other than as rider?
I like the idea of being a test rider. One of my strongest points as a racer was the ability to analyse data really quickly, and improve the bike on the track.
10-        How much are you going to beat Gobert on the track at Ausbike this year by?

Gobert is going to get his ass handed to him again, he always mouths off how fast he is, and I love slapping him down a few notches. Last AUStest for example, he would come in the pits and tell me he was catching me on a certain bike, but every time I saw him on the track, I would blow by him. It will be pretty close on the 600's but I'll smash him by at least two seconds on the 1000's. It's a fun deal as we get along really well, and there will always be shit slinging between the two of us.
Krusty, entertaining as always, thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. You can catch more of Krusty's thoughts regularly at www.cycleonline.com.au
